About
As Founder and Managing Director of Crown Legacy Wealth, Jason takes a holistic approach to the unique financial situation facing each individual client. Beyond comprehensive wealth management, he brings deep focus to the areas where thoughtful planning makes the greatest difference: retirement income planning, equity compensation and concentrated stock strategies, and proactive estate and tax planning. He has worked directly with clients for nearly 20 years, since graduating from college in 2007, and brings that experience to bear in understanding his clients’ goals and developing tailored plans that help them feel confident and empowered about working toward achieving them.
Jason grew up in rural, small-town Wyoming, where he often felt like a city boy trapped in the country. It wasn’t until nearly two decades in the Seattle area that he realized the opposite was true—he was a country boy trapped in the city. That realization was part of what inspired him and his family to move to Kalispell, Montana, where they now live on acreage and thoroughly enjoy life in a rural environment.
Growing up, Jason watched people around him struggle financially, and he came to understand that a key reason often came down to three things: a lack of information, a lack of a plan, and a lack of accountability. That insight shaped the course of his life. It led him to pursue a degree in economics, a field that let him combine a focus on finances with direct, meaningful connections to people. To this day, Jason believes human connection is vital, and the relationships he forms with his clients are a cornerstone of how he works.
Jason has always believed the client-advisor relationship works best when it is built on trust, good communication, and an unwavering commitment to putting the client’s needs first. Whether he’s helping a client build a sustainable retirement income stream, navigate the complexities of equity compensation and a concentrated stock position, or plan proactively for estate and tax considerations, he focuses much of his attention on educating his clients and holding them accountable to their goals. Diligent research, thoughtful analysis, and a disciplined approach allow him to do this. By taking the time to truly know his clients, Jason is able to be genuinely in their corner and help them make informed decisions.
Credentials & Recognition
Jason graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and holds the CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠) designation from the College for Financial Planning. He has been named a Five Star Wealth Manager by Five Star Professional from 2017 to 2026, listed on the Forbes 2026 Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list, and recognized as a team member on the Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Management Teams from 2023 to 2026. Jason is proud of these recognitions—but he is far prouder of the real impact he has had on the lives of his clients.
Beyond the Office
Jason met his wife, Amy, in 2012, and the two were married in 2013. Their son, Charlie, was born in 2014. Together with their dogs, Murph and Moe, and their cat, Max, the family enjoys life on their Montana property—throwing the ball for the dogs, working in the garden, and taking in sunrises and sunsets. Jason deeply appreciates nature, and being in this rural setting calms his soul. A humble man by nature, he places his faith in God at the center of everything in his life.
